Wolverhampton City Council provides waste and recycling collections across the city. General household waste is collected in the black bin, while recyclables including paper, cardboard, cans, glass, and plastics are collected fortnightly in the blue bin. A garden waste collection service is available on subscription, and food waste caddies are provided where the service operates.
Bank holiday collections are rescheduled — anything due on the bank holiday is moved to the next working day, with subsequent collections in that week shifting accordingly. An amended schedule is published on the council website each year ahead of the Christmas and Easter periods.
To report a missed collection or arrange a bulky waste collection, visit wolverhampton.gov.uk/bins or call 01902 551100.
