London Borough of Hillingdon Bin Collection Dates

The London Borough of Hillingdon collects household waste, dry mixed recycling, garden waste and food waste all on the same day each week. You only need to remember one collection day — all services come together. Household waste is collected in black sacks. Dry mixed recycling is collected in clear recycling bags — these accept paper and card, plastic bottles, pots and tubs, glass bottles and jars, and metal tins and cans. Please rinse items before placing them in the bag. Garden waste is collected in green bags and accepts grass cuttings, leaves, hedge clippings and small branches. Food waste is collected in a small caddy and accepts all cooked and raw food scraps including meat, fish, dairy, bread, fruit and vegetables. Line your caddy with a compostable liner or newspaper. Collections are made Monday to Friday from the front of your property. Bins and bags must be out by 7 am on your collection day. Report a missed collection within 24 hours at hillingdon.gov.uk. Collections may be adjusted around bank holidays — check the council website for confirmed dates.
