Wiltshire Council Bin Collection Dates

Wiltshire Council collects household waste across one of England's largest unitary authorities, covering the towns of Chippenham, Salisbury, Trowbridge, Devizes, Marlborough, Warminster and their surrounding villages and rural areas. Grey wheelie bins are used for general household waste that cannot be recycled. Blue-lidded wheelie bins accept all mixed dry recycling in one container — paper, cardboard, plastic bottles and rigid plastic containers, metal cans and tins, glass bottles and jars. There is no need to separate materials. Collections alternate fortnightly between the grey bin and the blue bin, so each is collected once every two weeks on a set day of the week. Garden waste — grass cuttings, leaves, twigs and plant material — is collected in a brown bin as part of Wiltshire Council's chargeable subscription service. Collections do not take place on bank holidays. If your scheduled collection falls on a bank holiday it will normally be delayed by one working day for the rest of that week.
