Wandsworth Council Bin Collection Dates

Wandsworth Council collects rubbish (black bin) and recycling (green box) on a weekly basis — one of few London boroughs offering both waste streams every week. Rubbish and recycling are typically collected on different days of the week, so check your specific schedule for your street. The recycling collection accepts paper, card, cans, glass bottles and jars, plastic bottles, pots, tubs and trays, and food and drink cartons — all items should be clean, dry, and placed loose in the box (not in plastic bags). The black bin should only contain waste that cannot be recycled. Food waste and garden waste collections are also available in parts of the borough — check your property result to see which services apply to your address. Garden waste is a subscription service collected fortnightly. If your collection falls on a bank holiday, Wandsworth Council will usually collect one working day later.
