Hull City Council provides three bin collections for most households across the city.
The brown bin collects garden waste every week. The black bin collects non-recyclable general waste fortnightly. The blue bin collects mixed recycling — paper, card, cans, plastics and glass — also fortnightly on alternating weeks to the black bin.
Please have your bins at the kerbside by 7 am on collection day. If your bin is missed, report it within 24 hours on the Hull City Council website. Bank holiday collections may be adjusted — check hull.gov.uk for confirmed dates.
Collection frequency: Brown bin weekly; black and blue bins fortnightly on alternating weeks.
