North Northamptonshire Council Bin Collection Dates

North Northamptonshire Council collects refuse (black bin) every week and recycling and garden waste fortnightly on alternating weeks from around 160,000 households across Corby, Kettering, Wellingborough, and East Northamptonshire. The black refuse bin accepts non-recyclable household waste — anything that cannot be recycled or composted. Bags must be securely tied. The grey recycling bin accepts paper and cardboard (flattened), glass bottles and jars, food tins and drink cans, plastic bottles, pots and tubs. Please rinse items and place loose — no bags. Garden waste is collected fortnightly on the same day as recycling. The green garden bin accepts grass cuttings, leaves, hedge trimmings, weeds and small branches. Visit northnorthants.gov.uk to check your garden waste subscription status. If your bin is missed, report it within 48 hours at northnorthants.gov.uk. Bins must be at the kerbside by 7 am on collection day. Collections may be adjusted around bank holidays — check the council website for confirmed dates.
