West Northamptonshire Council Bin Collection Dates

West Northamptonshire Council provides three-stream kerbside collections across Northampton, Daventry, and South Northamptonshire. Food waste is collected every week; refuse and recycling are collected fortnightly on alternating weeks. The black refuse bin accepts non-recyclable household waste that cannot be recycled or composted. The silver recycling bin accepts paper and cardboard (flattened), glass bottles and jars, aluminium and steel food tins and drink cans, and plastic bottles, pots and tubs. Please rinse items and place loose — no bags. The food waste caddy accepts cooked and raw food scraps, meat, fish, dairy, bread, fruit and vegetables. Line it with a compostable caddy liner or newspaper. Both the indoor and outdoor caddies are collected together. If your bin is missed, report it within 24 hours at westnorthants.gov.uk. Bins must be placed at the kerbside by 7 am on collection day. Collections may be adjusted around bank holidays — check the council website for confirmed alternative dates.
